The Waste4Meal Training Component is an ambitious program designed to empower 100,000 African youths and women by equipping them with the knowledge and skills in Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming and effective waste management practices. This initiative addresses the dual challenges of environmental sustainability and economic empowerment, utilizing the transformative potential of insect farming to convert organic waste into valuable protein sources and fertilizers.
Participants will engage in a structured learning journey, starting with the Acquaintance Training, delivered online through comprehensive courses, seminars, and webinars. This foundational training provides insights into BSF biology, habitat management, waste conversion processes, and business strategies for insect farming. Upon completion, participants will be organized into clusters, positioning them for a fully tuition scholarship for practical, hands-on training delivered onsite.
Following the practical training, participants will undergo experiential training to acquire real-world experience and prepare for agricultural investments. The final phase is the Train the Trainer component, which builds a network of experts capable of extending the knowledge and skills to broader communities.
This program is a worthy investment that will transport participants into a realm of sustainable agriculture and wealth creation. By the end of the training, participants will be well-positioned to start their BSF farming enterprises, contributing to environmental sustainability and unlocking new economic potential within their communities.
